New Hampshire Senate President Chuck Morse (R-Salem) today appointed PHS president David Cuzzi to the state’s Telecommunications Planning and Development Advisory Committee. The Advisory Committee was originally established under state law in 2000 to “encourage, promote and support the achievement of affordable universal access and adoption of interoperable advanced telecommunications throughout New Hampshire” and “facilitate economic development, improve the quality and availability of education, healthcare, public safety and government services.”
Legislation passed this spring and signed into law by Governor Maggie Hassan (D) requires the Senate President to appoint an individual to the panel to represent large business telecommunications customers. Senator Morse appointed Cuzzi to represent this important constituency on the Committee based on Cuzzi’s ability to work in a bi-partisan fashion, and his background in public policy, business, and legislative advocacy. PHS counts two of New Hampshire’s largest engineering and manufacturing firms – BAE Systems and Velcro USA – among its diverse client roster of organizations of all sizes across many industries.
