Velcro USA welcomed 4th District Executive Councilor Chris Pappas to its Manchester Headquarters campus today. Councilor Pappas toured the company’s newly renovated lobby and office space in the campus’s main building, met with company executives, and toured operations along the knitting and weaving manufacturing floors.
Councilor Pappas, who co-owns Manchester’s renowned Puritan Back Room restaurant, discussed with company leaders the benefits and challenges Manchester businesses have in common. Topics included energy prices and the need for additional energy infrastructure, business taxes, transportation, workforce development, and the opioid and heroin drug abuse epidemic. Executives also briefed Councilor Pappas on Velcro USA’s green energy initiatives and investments, and the company’s various partnerships and philanthropic efforts to encourage young people to pursue careers in engineering and manufacturing.
